The Chicago Beer Society (CBS) recently announced that this year will mark the return of the Spooky Brew Review homemade beer competition. The once annual competition is a fun opportunity for hobby brewers to come showcase their concoctions to the Chicago beer community. This years host will be Revolution Brewery.
According to the CBS the competition will follow the Beer Judge Certificate Program (BJCP) guidelines. Judging will be in all BJCP categories with the event highlights being the Spookiest (scariest brew) and Smashed Pumpkin (worst in show) categories.
Competition entries will be accepted until Oct. 12 and the actual judging will take place on Oct. 26 at the Revolution Kedzie Brewery Taproom. For more information visit the Spooky Brew webpage.
